Instead of dwelling on how awful I feel or what I wish I had been able to do today, God has changed my perspective and revealed himself to me today. When I think about it, it is kind of amazing that God could show me more of his greatness while I'm laying in my bed, sleeping, watching movies, and sucking on cough drops.
A few things I'm thankful for today:
Today I got to rest, something that I haven't had time to do in a long time.
I got to spend uninterrupted time with Jesus my Lord and Savior (always so encouraging and such a blessing)
God helped me be thankful for today instead of dwelling in self-pity
I caught up on schoolwork in between sleeping
I got a letter from a dear friend that made my day!
Prayer (knowing that people are praying for me, and that I'm surrounded by such an amazing community of believers! so encouraging)
For medicine (especially NyQuil! most definitely a gift from God)
My awesome mom who cares for me when I'm a sicky
Now I'm off to spend more time with my amazing savior! I may not be feeling great, but God is giving me joy today in the midst of my sickness and he is teaching me to love him more and to be grateful and praise him in every circumstance! He uses the everyday things to draw me to himself and for that I am so grateful!
"Teach me your way O Lord that I may walk in your truth. Unite my heart

oh my goodness I just love you and am so honored to be related to you! and I love how much of a woman you're becoming.
