Weekend Quote

"the role of the beauty of the gospel is: to be the object our affections, the purpose of our identity, the reality of our existence, and the joy of our salvation. It draws us in like a beautiful sunset, puts God’s glory on display, and challenges us to realign everything. In discipleship, we are simply pointing people to its beauty, asking them to find happiness there."
Jason Garwood

God Time!

"Make a plan now to keep a daily appointment with God. The enemy is going to tell you to set it

aside, but you must carve out the time. If you're too busy to meet with the Lord, friend, then

you are simply too busy" ( Charles Swindoll )

Such a challenging quote! So often my quite time get pushed out by the craziness of life! I need to

carve out time for God and be disciplined and spending time in prayer and his word.

My goal for the week: Spend 30min with God EVERY day!

Honestly that's really not that much time at all... and if you add the the couple minutes here and there on facebook, blogs etc. I'm sure it adds up to more than 30min...so if I can spend 30min wasting time online I can afford to cut that out and spend 30min with something that has eternal value spending time with my Lord and Savior!

I'm so excited to see how God is going to meet me this week as I seek to be diligent and spending time with him! :)

Quote of the Week....

"realize anew that, just as we must learn to obey God one choice at a time,
we must also learn to trust God one circumstance at a time.
Trusting God is not a matter of my feelings but of my will.
I never feel like trusting God when adversity strikes,
but I can choose to do so even when I don't feel like it. That act of the will, though,
must be based on belief, and belief must be based on truth."
-Jerry Bridges

Quote of the Week....

"All who call on God in true faith,
earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard,
and will receive what they have asked and desired,
although not in the hour or in the measure,
or the very thing which they ask.
Yet they WILL obtain something greater
and MORE glorious than they had dared to ask.”

-martin luther

God may not answer us in the exact way that we want...but instead he will answer in a way that is far better than we could
have ever imagined and greater than we could ever comprehend! :) How encouraging is that?
